Marseille Away 2012-13

A rather unique offering here from Adidas, a reversible shirt. One side is black and the other is orange. The idea came from the Marseille fans who would turn their bomber jackets inside out to show the orange lining. I don't confess to the know the entire history of is but I believe it's something to do with "skin heads" but it seems strange the club would endorse such a culture.
The other feature of the shirt is the "tattoo" design to he sleeves and orange back. This was designed by a famous French tattoo artist apparently, his name is signed onto the shirt but can't make it out.
I actually saw this shirt in a supermarket during a recent visit to northern France but decided to buy last seasons 4th shirt (blog post to follow) instead. This decision worked out well as
ClassicFootballShirts got a batch in the very next day nearly £10 cheaper than I saw in France.

Lyon 3rd 2012-13

This is the very first 3D football shirt! Apart from that it's quite a plain design as Lyon shirts go, and also looks worryingly similar to the Liverpool away shirt from a couple seasons back. I haven't tested out the 3D graphics yet as it only works with the old style glasses. The player version shirts came in a special edition bag that included 3D glasses, this is only the replica Climacool version, but the fact it only cost £12 from eBay I won't complain too much.
The inside of the shirt has the signage "La ville des freres lumiere", which roughly translates as the town of the brothers of light. This is a reference to the French brothers Auguste and Louis Lumière who were the earliest filmmakers in history, who hailed from Lyon.

Olympique Marseille 2012-13

My most recent Marseille shirt, purchased from classic football shirts. This is the standard version of the away shirt, which has the embroidered badges, the TechFit and Formotion versions have screen printed badges and also come in a tighter fit.
The shiny striped pattern on the front reminds me of a classic Adidas shirt from the 80's, like the Liverpool "Candy" kits.

Lyon Away Shirt 2011-12

Continuing my tradition of collecting Lyon shirts here is last seasons away effort. I've been after this shirt for a while, nearly brought it from the official Lyon site in the clearance section, but postage to the UK was something extortionate like £15. I ended up getting this from eBay for the bargain price of £12, it is used but hardly a mark on it.
As Lyon shirts go this is quite a tame effort, bordering on the boring, but cross hatch pattern woven into the front gives it something extra. I noticed this is the same template as the Chicago Fire shirt I have (which I will upload later on), although the collar is slightly different.

FC Luzern Home 2012-13

FC Luzern of Switzerland. This was a very random purchase from TK Maxx, better still it was only £16.99. I've since found out this was last seasons shirt, which I suspected anyway given it was in TK Maxx.  I believe this is the Estro template although it has been modified to include the pin stripes. I shall be looking out for the current Luzern shirt as it uses the Campeon template like Fulham and Southampton away.

Rosenborg Away 2012

Another purchase from Classic Football Shirts is the Rosenborg away shirt from 2012. I took a gamble on buying this shirt in a Kids XL size, luckily it fitted perfectly...after Christmas and all! This is probably my best recent bargain at £9.99.  I confess to knowing very little about Rosenborg other than they are in Norway....I think??
I was attracted to the shirt mainly 'cos its Adidas and black, but I liked the flashes of gold, ads a little something extra to a usually plain template. There are some nice details to the shirt with the lettering on the neckline.  Interestingly this is the current shirt despite CFS stating its from 2012, I assume they carried the design over to the current season as well, take note English teams!

Napoli Europa League Authentic Away 2012-13

This is the Napoli away shirt which was used in the 2013-14 Europa league campaign. I don't have many Macron shirts, think its only this and my Lorient away but I'm a big fan of their designs, very underrated kit supplier in my opinion.
This particular shirt is an "authentic" version which basically means its issued to the kit room for the players. The only difference that I'm aware of from the replica version is the tighter fit, the badges are still sewn on rather than heat pressed like the Adidas and Nike player version shirts. Another difference from this to the replica versions is the smaller sized "Lete" sponsor on the front, which is just as well as I think this detracts from the quality of the shirt, would look much better in monochrome.
The shirt was purchased from the Classic Football Shirts web site, please check out their great site here.
